Intermediate advisory Hurricane Celia is now being downgraded to a category 1 hurricane, due to an opening eyewall within the storm, which currently measures 81 miles across, one of the largest ever observed. The storm however remains annular to a certain extent though besides the dry air wrapping into the circulation from the northwest.
Intermediate advisory Tropical Depression Five-E has organized further this morning, and so the initial intensity is being raised to 35 kt for this advisory, which is supported by the latest 1200 UTC Dvorak estimates, making the storm Tropical Storm Darby at this time as a result of this.
